## How long does onboarding take? 

Onboarding is almost immediate after you have access. If you'd like for us to help you with the onboarding process please email us at <onboarding@paismo.com> with your request.&#x20;

## What are Pay Periods?&#x20;

**Pay Periods** are how we track the accumulation of hours and benefits within a period of time. Companies often run: \
\
**2 Pay Periods per Pay Cycle:** This means employees get paid twice a month, at the end of the month and the middle of the month. \
\
**4 Pay Periods per Pay Cycle:** This means employees get paid once a month, at the end of the month.&#x20;

## How long does it take for my custom payroll fields to appear in my account?&#x20;

As soon as we receive an example of your previous Payroll we are able to immediately load it into your account.&#x20;

## How is my data secured?&#x20;

Paismo is built by a top tier technological international team with over decades of experience in building fintech products. Paismo encrypts data at rest in AWS using AES-256 key encryption. Paismo uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) to host its production servers, databases, and supporting services. As a global company, Paismo uses a multi-region setup for its infrastructure.

Additionally, Paismo runs frequent backups to take care of your data even in the event of unforeseen disasters or circumstances.&#x20;
